The Lucy Cowl is knit in a tube so there is no wrong side! Worked in DK weight yarn, it's a fast and fun knit.
Lucy is knit up using a cashmere DK weight Fun Size Bundle. There are lots of colorways to choose from.
Pick your favorite Fun Size Bundle color.
- One DK weight Fun Size Bundle 100% cashmere. 8 mini skeins, 25 yards per skein, 200 yards total
- US size 7 [4.5 mm], 16" circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge
- Scrap yarn for provisional cast on
21 sts = 4" in St st
The Lucy Cowl is knit in the round. Use scrap yarn for the provisional CO. There is no need to weave in ends when you change colors for the stripes. To change colors cut the working yarn leaving a 2” tail. Using a square knot, tie the new yarn color to the tail snugly behind your last worked st. Start knitting with the new yarn. You will work every color twice. Check your gauge. If not, you run the risk of not having enough yarn.
